Each year since we got married we have packed a box for Operation Christmas Child. We do boxes for children of the same age & gender as our children. [The lowest age range is 2-4 years old so it'll be a while before Samuel gets to join in.] This year Nathan & Emma were really excited about shopping for "their kids" and even helped pack the boxes. We put a photo of each of them in their boxes so the children would know who sent these gifts and then we took them to church on Sunday so they could be transported to their final destination.
So, Emma is already getting into the Christmas Spirit! She REALLY wanted a Santa suit to keep in her dress up clothes... thankfully she settled for a Santa hat and short jacket that looks Santa-ish! She has certainly put them to good use!
A little over one week ago I took Emma and Samuel to our local children's museum. It is small (a larger one is currently being constructed) but our kids have always loved going there.
Just posting this photo because my darling husband is sacrificing his own desires and letting his hair grow out a bit just because I like it SO much! Doesn't he look handsome?
Although we LOVED the photos Jackie Day took at the park of Samuel at 6 months, I decided to take a few "more traditional" shots of him as well. Here are our faves:
It's amazing how quickly this little guy is growing! He is such a sweet and happy boy who is fun to be around! He sits well on his own and wants to crawl but just can't figure it out (and that is OK with Mom & Dad)! He has two teeth and loves just about all baby food except peas and is learning to take little drinks of water from his sippy cup. It doesn't take much to bring out a smile or laughs from this little one. He sure enjoys watching his big sister dance & sing and likes to chat it up with his big brother. He lifts his arms when he wants to be held and sometimes he even tries to dive out of someone else's arms to get to me. Oh how we love our sweet boy!
